There are days in all of our lives where we just don’t want to be perceived, looked at or judged. I know there are days for me at least. When I have to go to the grocery store for instance and I don’t really want to change out of my pajamas, the peer pressure to get dressed usually gets to me so I change. But what about when you want to go out and not be judged. This is where I think that the invisibility shield could come in handy. Well that and maybe changing into your clothes at the beach. I hate going into the dirty bathrooms to change outfits, this would make life much more easy I think.
In a video I found on YouTube you can see a new product that is actually a second generation invisibility shield. It’s currently up on Kickstarter and while it’s not perfect (think of Harry Potter’s cloak in reference to perfect), it’s still quite impressive.
Right now you can get a 40″ x 28″ shield for around $378, or a large sized 72″ x 48″ for $883. The shield works by bending the light behind it so if you’re standing behind, you can’t be seen.
“We’ve spent the past four years developing and testing optical cloaking devices,” the Kickstarter says. “We’re now seeking your support to share our new and improved, second generation invisibility shields with the world!”
