Anime Collector Guide: Bandai Figures & More

If you are looking for some new figures to add to your collection then look no further. Bandai has some really great options for those who are heavily into Shonen anime like “Naruto” or “One Piece.” I was able to get my hands on a few of the toys they are most excited about, and I’ll tell you my thoughts on each.

    Anime Heroes Line Figures

The Anime Heroes line of figures is great for the novice collector and even the seasoned one. The figures themselves are poseable and come with different attachments for different poses. I especially like the fact that they lightweight and come in a cool box so that you don’t even have to take them out to display them. I disliked the fact that they don’t come with stands so you do have to be precious about posing them and getting them to stay standing. These are made for series like “One Piece” and “Naruto” and generally retail for about $20.

    Bandai Ultimate Legends

These figures are great for kid collectors who want to play with them. Since they don’t come with many accessories you won’t have to worry about much to lose. The packaging is nice so you could keep them in the plastic and preserve them but they’re also sturdy enough to hold up to rough play. I let my 3 year old (packaging says 4+) play with them and they are just fine. These retail for around $13-$20 depending on which one you want.

    Dragonball Evolve

This line of figures features the Dragonball series exclusively. There are around 14 in the series currently and they retail for about $10.99. I’ve seen these out in the wild at Target and Walmart and there are a few figures exclusive to those stores as well. I would recommend these for junior collectors or those who want to play with the action figures regularly.

    Bandai Gashapon

Bandai’s Gashapon are not just great for personal collections but are also great for gifts. You could use them for stocking stuffers, or Easter baskets. They retail for around $8 and they come in a lot of variety. You can either grab a “Spy X Family” one or a Shonen “Naruto” pack plus many more!

These are all great toys to look out for when you’re out collecting and I recommend each one. Visit Bandai’s US storefront by clicking the link here.
