In case you weren’t aware, there is a brand new Marvel Studios film currently in production. Director Jake Schreier has actually given us the best info on the upcoming film, saying “Thunderbolts” will be a new approach, and a new story. Which is interesting, considering how many former characters we’ll see returning.

“It was just a really different approach and a new kind of story to tell amidst that, which I know they’ve made so many things, but it’s not a sequel,” Schreier said. “Yes, these characters have appeared before, but it is a new story being told and a story, I think, with a very different perspective than maybe people aren’t expecting, and I think that that felt exciting and felt like a real challenge worth taking on.”

Okay, what about that returning cast?

Florence Pugh (“Dune Part Two“) returns as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster. Harrison Ford joins the MCU as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, and Geraldine Viswanathan replaces Ayo Edebiri. We still don’t know who’s replacing Steven Yeun.

Pugh actually just broke some cardinal rules of working for Marvel Studios- posting a video from set, which pretty much takes fans on a tour.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
