*sigh* Remember that thing about how we aren’t as excited about this reboot of James O’Barr‘s “The Crow” as we were when it was first announced? Yeah, we’re still kind of feeling that, but we will say some of the visuals in the first trailer are at least interesting.
Director Rupert Sanders says he used more inspiration from his own life than from O’Barr’s original graphic novel, or the 1994 film starring Brandon Lee. This 2024 version stars Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven / The Crow, and FKA Twigs as Shelly.
“Soulmates Eric Draven (Bill Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA twigs) are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them. Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right.”
“The Crow” is set to hit theaters June 7th, 2024.
