We are delighted to see that film release dates are finally starting to stay where they were. This comes as Warner Bros. Pictures unveiled its slate for 2024, with some big films on the way. We of course were anticipating such things as “Dune Part Two” from Denis Villeneuve, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” from Dr. George Miller, “Joker: Folie À Deux” from Todd Phillips, and more.

While this is of course subject to change, here are the big releases Warner Bros. Pictures has in store for 2024.

    First Quarter

    March 1st: “Dune: Part Two”
    March 29th: “Mickey 17“

    Second Quarter

April 12: “Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire“
April 19th: Untitled WB / NL Event Film [NL denotes New Line Cinema]
May 24th: “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga”
    June 7th: “The Watchers“
June 28th: “Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 1“

    Michael Keaton in "Beetlejuice," 1988

    Third Quarter

July 12th: Untitled NL Horror Event Film
    August 2nd: “Trap“
Aug 16th: “Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 2“
    September 6th: “Beetlejuice 2“

Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim

    Fourth Quarter

October 4th: “Joker: Folie À Deux“
    November 15th: “Alto Knights“
December 13th: “Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim“

We’re certainly the most curious about the “War of the Rohirrim” animated film, as last we’d heard, it had been delayed. We’ll obviously let you know what we hear about this and other news.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
