Two action starts, both alike is badassery. Well….personally we think one of them is way more badass than the other, but that’s debatable. We’re talking of course about Daniel Craig, who played James Bond across 5 films as well as Benoit Blanc in 2 films, and the one and only Charlize Theron. She’s won an Oscar, she’s been a spy, an ageless assassin, an evil queen, and of course, Furiosa.
The pair are reportedly teaming up for what is being described as a “heist thriller,” which sparked a bidding war amongst studios. Rightly so, really. Sounds like Apple Original Films has secured the project, with “Fast X” helmer Justin Lin set to direct. (Oh yeah, Theron was also in the “Fast & Furious” franchise, too.)
Not much is known about a possible story or plot yet, other than Craig and Theron being “two career criminals,” and an exploration of their ‘relationship’ across three big jobs.
While we’re still salty we don’t get more Charlize in “Furiosa,” or a sequel to “Atomic Blonde” yet, we’re happy to see another action film with her in it.
