After 10 years, Rockstar Games has officially confirmed “Grand Theft Auto 6″ is in development. The first trailer is expected sometime in December 2023.
“We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next ‘Grand Theft Auto,” Rockstar Games President Sam Houser said. “We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you.”
December 2023 actually marks their 25th anniversary in business, so the timing makes sense.
“In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope that we have created games you love in our efforts to be part of that evolution,” the company added. Rockstar Games is known for also producing the “Red Dead Redemption” and “Max Payne” series.
“Grand Theft Auto 6” has been highly anticipated since it was announced as in development in February 2022. Even will all that anticipation, its predecessor is still considered one of the most popular games to date. We’re looking forward to this next installment in the franchise.
The exact date for the trailer release is still unknown. Some speculate it will be released on December 7th during The Game Awards. We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
