The need for Uber and Lyft is proliferating. Many people across the world use these applications to move from one place to another. These ridesharing applications are also great for the drivers, as they can earn a lot of money. These ridesharing applications allow the driver to earn from them as a part-time job. Easily earning a few extra bucks is always a great choice!

When these ride sharing applications hire drivers, they ensure they are appropriately trained and have a good driving history. The process of hiring them is simple, yet it is mandatory for them to pass this test in order to continue their driving and earn from these ridesharing applications whenever they want. Moreover, when hired, they must know that there should be no criminal record and that they have a legal license.

In this article we will briefly discuss the screening process for Uber and Lyft drivers, so that If you are thinking of joining, you know the basic process of it.

    Background Check:

The first step ridesharing applications do before they hire you is to see your previous records. You must not have any criminal records or too many challans. It is mandatory for you to follow the traffic rules, not to have any challans. If you have too many challans, you’re not following the traffic rules, and the lives of passengers will not be safe. So, they will reject your request to join their team. If you have any legal problems, in which the accident was caused due to somebody else’s negligence, you can explain the scene or show them evidence.

    Age Limit:

Ridesharing applications like Uber or Lyft do not allow underage people to join their teams. All drivers must be over the age of 21 to follow the law and order of the state. According to the jurisdiction of many states and countries, most people are not allowed to drive on roads if they are below 21. This requirement was made because a driver must have enough experience of driving. If the driver is over 21, they must have driving experience of all these years.

    Annual Background Check

If you are somebody who has been driving Uber or Lyft for some time now, you must know that once you have cleared the initial tests, you are not free of all the implications. You must show up with your criminal history record annually to let the company know that you are following all the traffic rules and the ridesharing application.

Moreover, the ridesharing applications will check your feedback, if most of them are positive and things are running smoothly, they will give you a green signal. However, if you have more negative comments than positive, they will ask you the reasons. If you are proven innocent, you can continue your journey with these ridesharing applications.

    Identity Check:

Many drivers on ridesharing applications, tend to either use a different vehicle or the driver changes than those who initially signed up. This is because they feel that nobody is going to check up. However, this is not the case anymore. Now, Uber or Lyfts ask for random identity checks at any time of the day and you must respond immediately. They will ask you to send a photograph of the vehicle you are driving or send a photo of yourself. Whatever the case, you must answer them within a specific time period; otherwise, your account will be disabled either temporarily or permanently.

What To Do If You Face Sexual Assault In A Ride Sharing Application?

If you face a sexual or verbal assault during a tour with a ridesharing app, you must contact the help center and register a complaint immediately. If you think that it is taking longer, you must reach out to the police via a phone call. Once you involve the police in your case, you will feel a sense of calm, as you have somebody as a witness on your end. Moreover, if the police do not resolve the case, you must file a claim in court, with the help of a legal attorney.

An Uber Sexual Assault Lawyer in Texas will help you to get justice in a timely manner. They know precisely which evidence will prove your innocence and get you your compensation. In these times of stress, a legal lawyer will release your burden by fighting on your behalf.

    Conclusion:

In conclusion, we can say that although there is a whole procedure for drivers to follow, the growing number of sexual assaults in ridesharing applications is not being controlled. Many people face serious troubles, yet their complaints are not being answered in a timely manner!
