A typical man’s wardrobe is often sparsely filled with clothes, yet he can wear completely different outfits at intervals. When it comes to versatility, nothing beats a casual shirt. This article will highlight a few ways to style your casual shirt.

    Defining Versatility in Men’s Fashion

    The best clothing items can be worn in as many styles and outfits as possible. With a few casual shirts in different styles, any man can create dozens of new outfits. Even better, variations of style and accessories mean that just one shirt can be used for various occasions. With a men’s casual shirt, fashionable dressing is easier than ever. Here are some tips on how a men’s casual shirt can be styled:

    The Everyday Look

    The most likely way to use men’s shirts casual is, of course, in an informal setting. That means leaving the shirt unbuttoned while wearing a plain, monotone undershirt. Just about any pants style will work, but nothing beats simple jeans for keeping it casual. Footwear is a similar affair; anything goes, although sneakers work best. From a date at a restaurant to a hangout with friends, there isn’t any casual affair that you can’t attend with this simple look.

    Styling Men’s Shirts for a Semi-formal Look

    Semi-formal is a somewhat subjective term. An outfit that is too uptight for one person may be too laid-back for another. A simple rule of thumb when it comes to casual shirts is that buttoning up is not casual, and leaving the shirt untucked is not formal. Between those two parameters, just about any style can be called semi-formal.

    Wearing rolled-up sleeves and leaving the first two or three buttons open is an excellent way to give off a relaxed aura. In most cases, it is the other pieces of clothing worn with the casual shirt that define whether it is semi-formal. Jeans or open-toed footwear might be a bit too informal. Instead, a pressed pair of chinos pants or dress slacks, as well as loafers, are better choices.

    The Formal Look

    Surprisingly, men’s casual shirts can work well for formal occasions when you style them correctly. It all depends on how the shirt is used with other clothing items. For example, layering adds depth and interest to an outfit. A well-fitted, dark-colored dress shirt works well with a slim tie and a double breasted suits, blazer or jacket. Tucking in the shirt and wearing a belt and shoes that color-match also boost a polished look.

    A Plethora Of Styles And Patterns

    For most men, the priority when collecting and wearing clothes is versatility. Older gentlemen and veterans of the fashion industry alike will attest to that fact.

    Men’s casual shirts come in a variety of colors and patterns. Whether it’s plain neutral colors, polka dots, checked, or striped, one thing is true: a casual shirt is versatile. A few casual shirts should always be a staple of any man’s wardrobe because those few are just what you need to refresh your appearance regularly.
