20 Spooky Shows to Watch on Crunchyroll for Halloween

It’s almost October and with that comes wanting to watch spooky programming. If you love watching shows like “Are You Afraid of the Dark” or movies like “Nightmare on Elm Street” then you might be looking for equally spooky anime titles to tie you through the season. Lucky for you Crunchyroll has some great titles that will let you do just that. Some of them are great for kids, some of them not so much. I’ll put a note on which ones you can watch with the children that won’t keep them up all night.

    Blood Blockade Battlefront

    Blue Exorcist – Older Teens

    Corpse Princess: Shikabane Hime

    Deadman Wonderland

    Ghost Hunt

    Hell’s Paradise

Welcome to Demon School Iruma-Kun – Verified Kid Friendly!

ROSARIO + VAMPIRE – Mature Audiences

Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU

How to Keep a Mummy – Verified Kid Friendly!

    Is this a Zombie?

Junji Ito Collection – Mature Audiences

    Kemono Jihen

    Mieruko-chan

    The Case Study of Vanitas

The Vampire Dies in No Time – Verified Kid Friendly!

    Toilet-bound Hanako-kun – Verified Kid Friendly!

    Tokyo Ghoul

    Trinity Blood

ZOM 100 – BUCKET LIST OF THE DEAD – Mature Audiences

I hope you enjoyed this list! The ones with notes next to the titles I’ve personally watched and can verify that they are good. There is a ton more you can search for on crunchyroll if you want to look for more spooky shows. Keywords “witch”, “vampire”, “demon”, or the entire “supernatural” category are great starts.

As an additional note, if you’re a “One Piece” fan you could re-watch the Thriller Bark arc because that whole story is very Halloweeny.
