The strikes are affecting all writers and staffers. And there are many who stand in solid support of all. To show their support, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, John Oliver, and Seth Meyers put together “Strike Force Five.” A podcast whose proceeds have all gone towards support of their late night staffs. Now, Kimmel, Fallon, and Colbert are putting together a one-off live show in Las Vegas, with the exact same intention.

Unfortunately, Oliver and Meyers will not be participating. Oliver jokingly explained he’s “not allowed back in Vegas until I’m cleared of all charges.” Meyers, in addition, said he “WILL be in Vegas but unable to attend as I gotta play my slots.” But we love that the late night talk show hosts are trying to do their part in support of their staff, who won’t have work until the strikes are over. It’s admirable that they’re trying to do what they can.

It also shows the solidarity of the trio. Despite the competition for viewers, the hosts have proven it’s a healthy rivalry between all concerned. Particularly since Fallon and Kimmel are currently vacationing together during the strikes. Meyers and Oliver are doing events in New York together. The podcast featuring all five of them is definitely worth a listen. Available on Spotify, the 12 episode podcast features conversations between the hosts about their first shows, their favorite guests, and collective shared experiences.

Named “Strike Force Three,” the show will premiere September 23 at the Dolby Live at Park MGM.
