Disney is releasing “Gargoyles Remastered” this fall! The fan favorite 90s cartoon has had it’s original video game upgraded to work on modern consoles. Disney Gaming is partnering with Empty Clip Studios to produce this classic. This tribute to the animated series and game will include enhanced visuals and modern features.

    “Gargoyles Remastered” | Disney

The original scroll style “beat ’em up” game had players follow Goliath as he fought across ancient Scotland and 90s New York. The game has such a captivating storyline – end the use of the Eye of Odin, an evil talisman that corrupted any who possessed it. Goliath was able to scale buildings, glide and perform mid-air attacks, along with using his stone-crushing strength to defeat enemies.

Not only was the 16-bit graphics remastered, the epic soundtrack was remastered for the new game as well. One of the new modern features is an “instant rewind,” so players can retry difficult areas of the level without having to completely restart.

The good news keeps on coming, Disney Games is collaborating with Limited Run Games to create the ultimate “Gargoyles” collector’s edition. The “Gargoyles Remastered” premium physical copies range in price from $69.99 to $174.99. They’re creating a retro-rerelease for the original SEGA Genesis copy! The more expensive collector’s edition includes an exclusive NECA Goliath figure. Not to mention some pretty sick retro clamshell case packaging. Pre-ordering for physical copies will run from September 8th to October 22nd.

“Gargoyles Remastered” will be releasing worldwide on October 19th, 2023 for $34.99. The game is available for pre-order for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and GOG. Check out the trailer below:
