Tiana’s Palace Opening in Disneyland This September

Disneyland’s new “Princess and the Frog” themed restaurant Tiana’s Palace will be opening this fall! The re-theme for the previous French Market restaurant and Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square was first announced back in January.

Tiana’s Palace will be a quick-service-style, the menu will feature items inspired by New Orleans flavors. It aims to expand on current fan-favorite dishes, while exploring seasonal options. Not much else is known about the food that will be served at the restaurant. The Mint Julep Bar will reopen alongside the restaurant, but with some big changes.

“Tiana’s Palace is sure to be a gathering place for friends and family to enjoy great food and celebrate together, just like Tiana and her father James, dreamed of,” the Disney Parks Blog said. That Tiana is getting her own themed area, especially a restaurant, just makes sense.

Along with the restaurant, guests will also get to experience more of Princess Tiana’s story with the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride. The Splash Mountain re-design is expected to open late 2024 for both Disneyland and Disney World in Florida.

Since “The Princess and the Frog” came out in 2009, I have always hoped that a Tiana themed restaurant would eventually be in the works. Not only is that dream being fulfilled, but the no-nonsense, hard-working princess is also getting a ride! The concept art for both restaurant and ride look beautiful and draw a lot of inspiration from the movie.

We’re looking forward to the opening of Tiana’s Palace on September 7th, 2023.
