    A complete guide to Attest a Certificate in the UAE

    Attestation of any certificate is a crucial process that has great significance around the world. Attestation of certificates is done to verify the originality of the paper. It is done to authenticate a document or a paper. In the UAE it is conducted by a person, department, or authority who is authorized to do so. The main purpose is to ensure that the certificate was issued or authorized by a legitimate institution, state official or an authority. Moreover, it authenticates that the seal and signature over the papers are genuine. Attaining certificate attestation is essential for using documents in the UAE.

    The foremost step to do so is the “Attestation in the Home Country that is the United Arab Emirates. The first step is to have the document or paper attested in the home country that is the UAE. Home country refers to where it was actually issued.

    This involves taking the certificate to the relevant authorities. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the governing body in this regard in the UAE. They are responsible authorities for this procedure. They take up the work of attestation in the applicant’s home country. The ministry verifies the document by itself. This will be doing cross-checking of the crucial details. It is conducted with the assistance of a notary in the country. Once the attestation is completed, the certificate gains international recognition. The second step is the Certificate Attestation. This step is carried out by the UAE Embassy.     The concerned authorities can be anyone of the two: the UAE embassy or consulate in that country. Besides, the UAE embassy carefully examines the document. This allows the document or the paper to signify its authenticity in a legal manner. Nevertheless, this step prepares the document for the final stage. 

    In UAE the authentication will reach the final phase. MOFA is the short form of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once the attested document reaches the UAE, it is carried to the relevant authority. Therefore papers are deposited and submitted to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) for certification. MOFA is the examining body that takes up this work. They are responsible for examining the documents for attestation. 

    This is done to ensure that the documents have been notarized. Furthermore they will be attested, and certified in a timely manner. The whole procedure is facilitated by the embassy in the country of origin. This final step completes the authentication process. Thus, it establishes the document’s validity within the UAE.

    Nevertheless, attestation of outbound documents also requires authenticity. Attestation of Outbound Documents from the UAE Certificates of individuals moving out of the UAE is necessary. This is organized by the government of UAE. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE has the authority and power to attest papers and documents. They will also work related to activities within the country. The following authorities must be visited for this process. Some of the other authorities who play a role are Dubai Courts Notary Public, Ministry of Justice, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Certificates That Require Attestation are as follows.
