The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back with the first clip from the upcoming feature “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.” Based on an 80s comic book of the same name, the turtles have already been adapted into animated, live-action, and CGI properties. Always while retaining their goofy senses of slapstick humor.

The turtles are voiced by actors Micah Abbey (Donatello), Shamon Brown Jr. (Michaelangelo), Nicolas Cantu ( Leonardo), and Brady Noon (Raphael). With Jackie Chan voicing Master Splinter, Paul Rudd will play Mondo Gecko, Post Malone will play Ray Fillet, Giancarlo Esposito will play Baxter Stockman, Rose Byrne will play Leatherhead, Hannibal Buress will play Genghis Frog, John Cena will play Rocksteady, Ice Cube will play Superfly, Ayo Edebiri will play April O’Neil, Maya Rudolph will play Cynthia Utrom, and Seth Rogen will play Bebop.
The clip shows our beloved heroes gearing up for a dangerous mission… to get go-gurt, ice cream, and Doritos. To be fair, there is an extra element of danger grabbing groceries when you can’t be spotted by humans. Since their mentor/father figure Splinter has instilled the belief that people finding them means certain death.

During the exchange, they argue over if some humans are cool. Listing celebrities like Guy Fieri, Drake, and Beyoncé as possible examples. The entire exchange is, of course, peppered with brotherly ripping on each other.
The film will center around the brothers trying to win the hearts of New Yorkers through heroic acts. They think this will get the general public to accept them as normal teenagers. With the help of their new friend, April O’Neil, they set out to take on a mysterious crime syndicate. But the group soon realizes that they are in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed.

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” hits theaters on August 4th, 2023. You can check out the first clip below:
