An animated series based on the hit game “Among Us” is reportedly in development! CBS Eye Animation Studios has partnered with Inner Sloth to create the project.
Titmouse (“Big Mouth,” “Star Trek: Lower Decks“) will handle the animation. “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone,” an official logline for the show reads. “Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”

“Among Us” was first released in 2018, and became super popular in 2020 amidst the pandemic. It’s gained a cult following of adults and children alike. The word “sus” has been implemented in everyday conversation due to the game’s popularity, and the phrase was even entered into the Merriam Webster Dictionary.
In October of 2020, it was in the top 100 games on Google play in 66 countries. Perhaps because the game could be played with multiple players and used an internet connection, the pandemic may have helped launch it into success.
