Inflammatory influencer Andrew Tate is finally facing charges after being arrested in Romania. Tate and three others were arrested by Romanian anti-terrorist authorities in December. He’s charged with rape, human trafficking, and “forming organised crime group to sexually exploit women.” Two others, including Tate’s brother, have also been charged.
According to the indictment, Tate and the group have been engaging in human trafficking in Romania, the U.S., and UK. We distinctly hope he goes down hard for such reprehensible actions. The charges for the case surround offenses against seven women. The prosecution for the case accuses the Tate brothers of “recruiting and exploiting women for the creation of pornographic clips, for distribution via sites like OnlyFans.”
Tate’s fame has operated on being inflammatory and insulting. Initially, he appeared on UK’s “Big Brother” in 2016. There, he proceeded to make racist and homophobic comments. Which has extended to much of his “career” as an influencer. Tate is known for spouting incel-levels of misogynistic drivel about gender roles, and has never been shy about flaunting his money.
But the one great thing about Tate’s bloated ego is that it led authorities right to him. After getting in a fight with environmentalist Greta Thunberg and trying to goad her by refusing to recycle pizza boxes that helped pinpoint his location for Romanian police. We sincerely hope he’s put away for a long, long, looooong time.
