For too long, we’ve waited in excited silence, contemplating the ineffability of “Good Omens” season 2. When it was announced, all we could do was vibrate with excitement until an official date was announced. Well, we didn’t need any nice and accurate prophecies to decipher. “Good Omens”

Considering the novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman stopped after anti-christ Adam made the choice to live as a human, this is all new territory! An all new adventure for our favorite demon-angel duo. Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and Crowley (David Tennant) have likely been enjoying the perpetuation of humanity after Adam refused to destroy the world. Aziraphale enjoying his books and tea, Crowley enjoying his plants and vices. But now things seem to have gone awry upstairs.

“Good Omens” Season 2, Amazon Prime Video

From what the trailer can tell us, something’s happened to archangel Gabriel (John Hamm). Is it possible the Angel is falling? Or are angels in heaven becoming more human? There’s so much we can speculate on while waiting for the series. But it would seem that the mysteries are up to our hell-spawned and heaven-sent rogues to uncover.

The performances and chemistry between Sheen and Tennant in the respective roles are both adorable and unforgettable. For the two to be back for a second season and get wrapped up in the affairs of Heaven and Hell AGAIN is sure to be a treat for all fans.

“Good Omens” Season 2 returns July 28th, 2023. Catch season 1 on Prime Video now.
