Nowadays, choosing which console to buy is a lot easier due to the multiple options for amazing crossplay games. During the previous days, choosing between the latest Xbox series and PlayStation consoles is not just about your personal preference and the price. Aside from considering what works best for you, you should also consider what type of consoles are being used by your friends. Throughout the years, it has resulted in fierce debates, breaking some friendships due to their incapability to agree on a single system. The good news is times have changed.

Ultimately, many of these huge new multi-platform games are compatible with crossplay. This means it does not matter what type of system you are playing with. Moreover, developers are incorporating this functionality to some of the older titles. Hence, if you are searching for high-quality multiplayer games that you can play with your friends, then the choices are endless. The following are 10 of the most fabulous multi-platform games.

    1. Aliens: Fireteam Elite

It would be great if one of your favorite games gets a crossplay support update. This is exactly the case Cold Iron Studios’ Aliens: Fireteam Elite. It’s been almost a year since its launch before this functionality was added to the game. For some gamers, they might consider it as a bit too late, however, there are still some who are enjoying the game and would consider this as better late than never.

    1. Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 still requires some work to be done so that it can surpass the high standards set by its previous installments. However, the game is more enjoyable now compared to how it was during its first launch. Furthermore, it keeps on improving as new updates and patches are being implemented. But unfortunately, crossplay support is a bit frustrating due to how it was incorporated by DICE.

    1. Apex Legends

This free-to-play battle royale from Respawn Entertainment took the battlefield by storm in 2019, offering you a smooth experience along with an element of strategy. Since then, this team-based game has gained more popularity than ever with over 100,000 simultaneous players on Steam. However, this is merely a drop in the ocean compared to its overall user base. Additionally, you can set up crossplay in Apex Legends by visiting the EA’s site. Watch out for the board game version of Apex Legends.

    1. Among Us

The popularity of Among Us has somewhat declined since the start of 2021, however, it is still considered as one of the most popular multiplayer games on Steam. Typically, new maps keep on coming regularly and streamers still continue to support the title. Well, it seems that this won’t change anytime soon. After Among Us was released on next-gen consoles, the game now supports crossplay functionality in most major platforms.

    1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

There is no doubt that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remains to be one of the most popular games nowadays. Because of this, most gamers are experiencing DDoS attacks that originate from cheaters. Some players are also having issues with their internet speed and network connection. Aside from not playing the game, another solution to avoid these issues is to use a VPN that works for multiple devices. In addition, using a VPN can also help in avoiding COD’s skill-based matchmaking (SBMM), wherein if you are a good player, then you will be facing harder opponents. If you simply want to improve your K/D and melt noobs, then you will need a VPN to avoid SBMM. A VPN can also protect your privacy while playing the game.

    1. Dead By Daylight

It seems that one of the most popular games out there are asymmetrical multiplayer games and its growth is quite impressive. Incidentally, Dead By Daylight is doing great so far. Despite the fact that it is much older, the game still obtains regular updates and next-gen patches for Xbox and PS5 consoles. Aside from these two systems, players can also get the chance to play this game on Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and PC along with their friends. Don’t worry if Dead Rising 5 has been canceled, since you can play Dead By Daylight instead.

    1. Dauntless

Dauntless was first launched in 2019, but during the last few years, its hype has somewhat declined. But this does not mean that it is not a fully enjoyable game. Dauntless is set in a fantasy world and belongs to the action RPG genre. You can either choose to play it solo or in a co-op environment, but most gamers prefer the latter since it is more fun.

    1. Chivalry 2

After more than a decade since Chivalry: Medieval Warfare was released on Windows, Chivalry 2 was launched in June 2021 on major consoles. Just like its previous version, this hack-and-slash action game gives more significance to multiplayer gameplay. It is a fabulous game where you can feel a more fluid combat and there are significant enhancements across the board. Also, you’ll be glad to know that there are new updates for the game.

    1. Brawlhalla

If you are looking for a more lighthearted combat game that comes with crossplay support, then there is no need to look any further since Brawlhalla, the co-op fighter game from Blue Mammoth Games is here for you. Regardless of how its art style looks, it is still filled with lots of surprises, which is partly the reason why there are over 50 million people who have enjoyed playing the game ever since it was first launched in late 2017. Fans of competitive multiplayer may also enjoy Meme Wars, a unique arena fighter available at MemeWars.gg that emphasizes strategic timing and creative playstyles.

    1. Deathloop

Deathloop was first launched as a PS5 exclusive, then later on it was added to the Xbox Series consoles and Xbox Game Pass. Simultaneously, its developers made some updates on the game which includes incorporating the full crossplay support.
