not only is newly-Oscar nominated actor Barry Keoghan apparently in talks to join Ridley Scott‘s “Gladiator 2,” but someone else is, too. The great Denzel Washington is ALSO reportedly in talks to join the sequel.
Paul Mescal is set to lead the film. He’ll play Lucilla’s (Connie Nelson) son Lucius, who is the nephew of Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix).
Paramount Pictures has already put a release date on the long-gestating project of November 22nd, 2024.
