    Your jackpot slot questions answered

If you’ve scrolled the online casino floors, you may have noticed the different types of jackpots linked to many of the games on offer.

If, like many players, you haven’t a clue what each one truly means, or how one differs from the other, don’t fret – you’re in luck. In this article, we’re about to explore the most frequently asked questions surrounding jackpot Slots, so the next time you play new games at Griffon Casino, for example, you’ll know exactly what sort of jackpot is associated with the reels you’re spinning!

Are you ready for some of your jackpot slot questions to be answered? Scroll down to continue.

    What are jackpot Slots?

The best way to think about jackpot Slots, is to think of them as an upgraded version of the traditional Slots you normally find both online and in the slot section of a brick-and-mortar casino establishment.

Not only do these slot types give you the opportunity to win the traditional symbol match prizes, but there are also chances within the reels to win a jackpot amount too. These are most commonly won by a jackpot symbol landing in rows one, three and five, for example. Most games require you to land three or more jackpot symbols in the same spin to win.

    How do jackpot Slots work?

How a jackpot works, all depends on the type of game and associated jackpot you’re playing. For example, a fixed jackpot will be a multiple of your wager amount, for instance, 500x your wager.

However, if you play a slot that’s attached to a progressive jackpot, the prize pot increases each time a bet is placed.

    What is a fixed jackpot?

As the name of this jackpot suggests, the jackpot amount is fixed. No matter how many times you play, the prize pot will always be the same. A fixed jackpot prize is calculated by your wager amount times by the jackpot multiplier.

So, for example, if your wager was 0.10 credits, but the jackpot prize was 5000x your wager, you would win a prize of 0.10 x 5000. And if you were to increase your wager to 0.50 credits, for example, your jackpot prize would be worth 0.50 x 5000.

Your wagering amount can change, but the jackpot multiplier amount will not.

    What is a progressive jackpot?

A progressive jackpot is a jackpot that begins with a predetermined value, but each time the game is played, a percentage of each player’s wager is added to the jackpot amount. Once the jackpot has been won, the jackpot will reset to its predetermined amount and begin to rise again with each player that spins the reels attached to the jackpot.

    What jackpots are there?

There’s a multitude of different jackpots attached to the games you see on the virtual casino floor, including:

    • Daily Jackpots – This jackpot offers three separate jackpots: Hourly, Daily and Mega.
    • Jackpot King – This jackpot offers three separate jackpots, all of which are progressive: Royal Pot, Regal Pot and Jackpot King.
