American home video distribution company Vinegar Syndrome is launching a publishing label! Vinegar Syndrome Publishing was announced alongside the acquisition of legendary horror-comic publisher, Eibon Press. Eibon’s co-founder, Stephen Romano will even be acting as Creative Director for Vinegar Syndrome Publishing.

This new publishing branch will continue the company’s commitment to protecting and preserving genre films. Heck the company even takes it name form a specific type of film deterioration, know for its strong vinegar smell. This new venture will just expand that to the literary world. They will be specializing in original comics as well as comic adaptations and novelizations of films from the Vinegar Syndrome catalog, along with other genre classics. These novelizations will also be available in both hardback and trade paperback. Along with planning some artwork-based coffee table books, special merch, and plenty of other fun surprises.

And if all that wasn’t enough Vinegar Syndrome Publishing will be reissuing several beloved titles from the Eibon catalog. Staring this spring they will be putting out a new and updated edition of the four-part comic adaptation of Lucio Fulci’s “Zombie.” Which will be sold individually, or all together in a neat collectible case. All Eibon re-issue will come with all new cover art, supplemental materials, and packaging. Which is a huge flex considering Vinegar Syndrome is known for its collector-conscious packaging.

The company also will be launching a new website in support of this venture. It will be a hub to keep fans updated on Vinegar Syndrome Publishing news, exclusive art previews, new title drops, and more.
