The long rumored sequel to Ridley Scott‘s seminal “Gladiator“ may be gaining steam. Reports indicate Paul Mescal (“Normal People“) is currently in talks to lead the cast. The theory is he’ll take on the role of an adult Lucius, son of Connie Nelson‘s character, Lucilla.
Miles Teller, Austin Butler, Richard Madden, and Timothée Chalamet had also apparently read for the role.
