    Fashion Designer, Punk Icon Vivienne Westwood has Passed Away

    We are very sorry to share the news that punk icon and prominent fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood has passed away. The news was confirmed by her official social media accounts.

    Westwood rose to the public light at an important time in British fashion. Her London shop SEX was pretty much the epicenter of the punk movement, dressing such notable figures at the Sex Pistols, Siouxsie Sioux, Adam Ant, and others.

    Never shy about her politics, Vivienne Westwood was often at the forefront of protests ranging from climate change to the exoneration of Julian Assange.

    Her fashion shows were the stuff of legend, and her influence can still be felt on Paris and New York runways to this day.

    She was 81.
