Daniel Craig is undoubtedly having a moment right now. The former “James Bond” actor recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He’s got a highly anticipated sequel film on the horizon. But we’re here to talk about a new commercial. Craig has put on his dancing shoes in a new Belvedere Vodka ad directed by Academy Award winner Taika Waititi.

You know an ad is going to be big when it has open credits. We see Craig dressed in a brilliant white suit, standing on Paris’s historic Pont Neuf bridge. Surrounded by a crowd of his adoring fans. Then he moves through the back seat of a car only to be spit out right near the Cheval Blanc Paris hotel. Suddenly he is dressed in a more casual, but still dapper, all-black ensemble.

Once he hits the streets he begins to strut past another crowd of fans. His strut quickly becomes a full on dance as he makes his way through the hotel lobby. He naturally grabs a bottle of Belvedere Vodka and makes his way through the hotel up to his room, dancing all the way. Once he gets to the room he cracks a bottle and pours himself a drink quietly saying “Finally.”

That is when Waititi yells cut then says “Let’s go again, just be yourself.” A joking reference to Craig being credited as “Himself” in the open credits. He smiles and takes another sip and the commercial comes to a close.

Craig’s dance moves are thanks to choreographer JaQuel Knight. The score for the ad is done by Waititi’s fiancee, Rita Ora, as well as and Giggs. This is certainly a star-studded two minute spot. See Craig in “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story” when it hits Netflix December 23rd, 2023. Check out the Belvedere ad below:
