3. POPFun Headphones and an Amazon Tablet

These POPFun Headphones are a great way to enjoy the silence. If you want things to be as quiet as a mouse even if just for a little while, I fully recommend these headphones for kids. You can put a movie on and plug them into any device that has an audio out line, or just connect them via Bluetooth to your smart TV or tablet. The best thing about these headphones is that they’re easy to use and won’t hurt your child’s ears. They’ve got a limiter on them that stops them from adjusting the volume too high and blowing out their eardrums, which is great for kids that know how to use those volume buttons! The Amazon tablet is a nice choice for kids who are too young to know their own strength. They have a nifty bumper that can be literally chucked across the room and the tablet is fine. And they come with a kickstand now which is a great added feature.
4. GIGABOTS

GIGABOTS are some Transformer like toys that come in balls. Each piece of the ball can be made into an appendage for the robot. There are cool jiggly wire pieces that stick into holes that you can place anywhere, there’s no wrong way to place them. You can build one robot with one or join up many for one giant monstrosity. These would be a great early gift for the kids to play with, or get them for Christmas. I’d say about three of these will fit in the average stocking.
5. Melissa & Doug Puffy Sticker Play Sets

These puffy sticker playsets have been tried and tested at my home and they’re great for kids of all ages. Keep them in the car while you’re out Christmas shopping or keep them at home. They have versions of these with princesses, mermaids, pirates, barn animals and jungle animals. Get them here.
6. Candy Cane Plush 4-PACK, Hide and Seek

From the snowiest gingerbread house in Yummy World comes the Candy Cane Squad Plush Ornaments Holiday 4-Pack! Each of the plush Candy Canes ornaments features the signature Yummy World “googly” eyes and dashed smile. Each candy cane comes with its own Santa hat and elastic band to hang on your Christmas tree or your rear view mirror. Grab your Candy Cane ornaments pack today and spread holiday cheer wherever you go! The kids can also play hide and seek with these around the house which will be sure to keep them out of your hair. In our house we like to play “Guess Where” where we give each other clues. It’s similar to the “Hot and Cold” game but this one you get to use your brain a bit more. Kidrobot has these along with a ton more exciting gift ideas. Get them here.
7. cossy Kids Magnet Toys

These magnet building sets are really great because they don’t take too much hand function to use. You don’t have to press down or snap them in place like other building sets. They simply connect with magnets! There are so many things that kids can create with these that you’ll have peace for a while. Of course the best part for kids is going to be knocking them over once they’ve built that epic tower. Luckily that has kind of a pleasant sound. Get them here.
8. Lite-Brite

Going with a classic here and a beloved toy to many, the Lite-Brite will still keep kids entertained for hours. What’s especially neat about Lite-Brite is that you can get a few refill packs and look up pixel-art and be able to make your own designs of some of your favorite characters! Older kids will have fun creating new designs and younger kids can use the ones included in the box. These are now battery based instead of having to plug them in and serve as a really cool nightlight. Get the classic toy here.
9. Tamagotchi

Tamagotchi the popular digital pet is back with tons of new egg designs. This is the classic version of the toy and has all the features you remember. Play games with, feed and care for your Tamagotchi just like the old days. Keep insisting that your kids need to raise the happiness meter and they’ll be busy for quite a while. Get it here.
