Uninvited Rapper Ye Removed from Skechers Office

The saga that is the life of Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) is one that has gone from odd to outrageous, to worrying and dangerous. From displaying narcissistic behavior to making anti-Semitic comments, Ye has set himself on a course that has resulted in losing a number of high profile deals and sponsorships. After a great amount of public pressure, Adidas finally dropped Ye and associated Yeezy products. That didn’t stop the rapper from trying to find a new home for his brand. Just today, he showed up uninvited to the Skecher’s Los Angeles home office.

Ye, according to Skechers, “engaged in unauthorized filming” on the premises, resulting in the rapper being escorted out “by executives” following a brief conversation. It’s worth noting the company was founded by Robert Greenberg, with his son Michael Greenberg serving as the company president. Both men are Jewish.

“Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West,” the company said in a statement. “We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech.”

    Stronger Video

The amount of news headlines Ye has been making lately are so powerfully detrimental, it’s hard not to revel seeing someone suffer consequence for their actions. After being dropped by Adidas, GAP, and Balenciaga, Ye is reportedly no longer a billionaire.

The fallout will likely continue. We can only hope Ye eventually realizes the kind of hate he’s spewing is dangerous and terrible. After all, getting banned from a Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament, real or not, is kind of rock bottom.
