Pepsi Welcomes Fall With 3 S’mores-Inspired Flavors

Just when you thought maple syrup is the weirdest flavor Pepsi would ever make, may I present their new s’mores collection? On the last day of summer, Pepsi released 3 new flavors, graham cracker, toasty marshmallow, and chocolate. If you mix all 3 together you get a beverage that tastes like the iconic campfire treat.

According to the press release, a lot of time and effort was put into making each soda taste authentic while taking into consideration how they would mix together. Toasty Marshmallow takes a marshmallow base with layers of toasted notes to mimic a light fireside flavor. Graham Cracker has notes of honey and cinnamon to achieve the perfect balanced graham cracker flavor profile. Chocolate contains heavy notes of cocoa, with a slight hint of vanilla for an extra creamy sweetness, mimicking the flavor of s lightly melted chocolate.

It is no surprise that Pepsi would want to play around with a s’mores flavor considering the huge spike in popularity they have had. They are so popular that s’mores were even named one of the top food trends of 2022.

Many of us grew up around the ritual of toasting marshmallows around the campfire before putting them between layers of chocolate and gram crackers. One of the many draws to the snack is how cheap, accessible, and shelf-stable the ingredients can be. Making them perfect for when you need to trek a long distance to your campsite. But another huge selling point is how easy it is to customize them to your own taste preferences. And keeping that experience in mind Pepsi has offered up some recipes on how to mix the sodas together:

    • If you want the taste of a classic s’more mixing 1/3 Graham Cracker, 1/3 Chocolate, and 1/3 Toasty Marshmallow will get you there.
    • For those that love a good game of Chubby Bunny, they recommend 1/2 Toasty Marshmallow, 1/4 Graham Cracker, and 1/4 Chocolate.
    • For those who dig more graham cracker they suggest 1/2 Graham Cracker base, 1/4 Chocolate, 1/4 Toasty Marshmallow, and top it off with an extra splash of Graham Cracker.
    • And for the chocoholics, 2/3 Chocolate, 1/3 Toasty Marshmallow, and a splash of Graham Cracker should do the trick.

Or you can just drink any of these solo, we aren’t here to judge your drink-making skills.
