Karens For Hire: Using Privilege For Good

We all know what a Karen is: the person who digs in their heels at any petty inconvenience, transforming day-to-day interactions with retail employees into an ever-escalating demand for managerial intervention, entitled avatars of the rich white Boomer ethos that “I deserve this.” But what if that energy could be put towards something beneficial for others? That’s where Karens For Hire comes in.

    Karensforhire.com

Karens for Hire’s website purports to help clients wield the power of a Karen to cut through the red tape and keep the pressure on companies that aren’t delivering the service they promised. Their Twitter is filled with their attempts to get in contact with corporate accounts on behalf of clients who have been denied rightful refunds or are fighting 1000% markups on quoted prices. Their website promises to help clients with Auto Repair, Real Estate, and, uh, Super Villainy. In case that’s something you need.

It’s certainly a promising business model. Modern life is full of inconvenience and no one seems to have the time to real dig in and fight the little inconveniences that are designed to be, well, inconvenient. We certainly don’t endorse harassing retail employees (or social media managers, for that matter), but maybe this service will help those who can’t bring themselves to navigate yet another phone tree or open one more form letter.
