“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” came to Hall H in a very big way. A surprise concert with orchestra and chorus conducted by Emmy-winning series composer Bear McCreary kicked things off in an amazing way.

Moderated by one of the world’s foremost Tolkien fans Stephen Colbert, the gathered crowd was treated the big wrap around screens unveiling more special footage.
“We wanted to find a huge Tolkienian epic, and Amazon, no bs, let us make the show we wanted to make,” one of the show runners said.
When asked what the most nerve wracking thing about doing the series, the answer was unanimously “everything.” It’s obvious this series is a labor of passion for all involved.
