“Full House” and “Fuller House” star Jodie Sweetin Sweeten was shoved to the ground by law enforcement officers. The actor was participating in a protest, following the June 24th SCOTUS overturning of Roe V. Wade.
Sweetin joined activists in Los Angeles over the weekend. The group attempted to gain access to a downtown LA freeway. LAPD officers stationed near the location attempted to prevent the protestors from marching onto the busy highway. Sweetin was pushed into the crowd by officers, where she tripped backward over the curb, and fell.
“I’m extremely proud of the hundreds of people who showed up yesterday to exercise their First Amendment rights and take immediate action to peacefully protest the giant injustices that have been delivered from our Supreme Court,” Sweetin told TMZ. “Our activism will continue until our voices are heard and action is taken. This will not deter us, we will continue fighting for our rights. We are not free until ALL of us are free.”
Protests and rallies across the country continue.
