Possible Cryptid Caught on Video by Texas Zoo

If you’ve ever seen the movie “Signs,” you probably know exactly how scary it is capturing something you’re not expecting to on video. The Amarillo Zoo in Texas knows that first hand. Recent security footage from the Zoo revealed a mysterious possible cryptid. This sighting happened on May 21st around 1:30am local time.

You can see a shadowy figure, a bi-ped wearing a cowboy hat with super frizzy hair. It could be a werewolf, a Chupacabra, or other cryptid. It could even be a very lost person who’s wandered too close to the zoo.

The validity of the image has been argued online. It appears to be untouched and unedited. As a graphic design major, I personally can’t find anything that would tip me off to it being altered. Others have differing opinions.

The Amarillo Zoo captured a strange image outside the zoo in the dark and early morning hours of May 21 (around 1:25 a.m.). Is it a person with a strange hat who likes to walk at night? A chupacabra? Do you have any ideas of what this UAO- Unidentified Amarillo Object could be? pic.twitter.com/86Ly9ogtBT

If you know anything about this unidentified Amarillo…subject, the Zoo is asking to please call them and let them know what the heck it is. Until then, we’re calling this a Cryptid for sure.
