Disney Mickey, The Mandalorian Hand Sanitizers Recalled
My fellow nerds, if you’ve picked up any Disney hand sanitizers for yourself or your kids, please check the expiration date on them. There is currently a recall over the presence of benzene and methanol in the 2.11 ounce bottles. The Mickey Mouse ones have an expiration date of June 30th, and “The Mandalorian” ones have an expiration date of September 30th.
More specifically, Best Brands Consumer Products is recalling “The Mandalorian” Sanitizer Ethyl Alcohol 68% in green and blue, and the Mickey Mouse version available in blue.
FDA testing found a different substance in each kind. Benzene was found in The Mandalorian sanitizers and Methanol was found in the Mickey Mouse branded ones. Benzene is classed as a human carcinogen and can cause cancer. Exposure to methanol can cause nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, coma, seizures, permanent blindness, permanent damage to the central nervous system, or even death.
If you have any of these kinds of Disney hand sanitizers please dispose of them immediately.
