Yesterday, we were treated to first look images from Disney+’s upcoming “Obi Wan Kenobi” series. Starring Ewan McGregor as the Jedi Master, the show ALSO boasts the return of Hayden Christensen to the galaxy far, far away. Christensen played Anakin Skywalker in the “Star Wars” prequels, and his eventual Dark Side self, Darth Vader.
Today’s reveal, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, is the return of Emperor Palpatine’s right hand, Lord Vader.
“His shadow is cast across so much of what we do,” writer Joby Harold say’s April issue. “And the degree of his proximity to that shadow is something that we’ll discover. But he is very much a part of the show emotionally for Obi-Wan, and possibly beyond that as well.”
We are excited to see if the Emperor shows up, as well.
You can see the new official teaser for “Obi Wan Kenobi” here. Rumors indicate a full-length trailer could come anytime. The series premieres on Disney+ May 25th, 2022.
