The Different Ways That Live Streaming Changed the Game of Roulette

The game of roulette has been played since at least the end of the 18th century. Some of the key rules have changed since then, but one of the biggest changes occurred in recent years with the introduction of live streamed dealers. How has this affected the way that we play roulette?

    A Big Variety of Tables

One of the first things you’ll notice when you play online roulette at Paddy Power is that there are so many versions of the game. These include the likes of Spin & Win Roulette, Lightning Roulette, and Quantum Roulette. Each of these games has its own unique gameplay and rules but is based on the classic game. The stakes are listed in the lobby, showing how much you can wager on each game.

This variety of games means that there’s a suitable approach for just about any type of player. From fun games with low stakes to VIP variants for high-rollers, everyone can now look for the roulette version that’s right for them. This switch has been particularly beneficial for newcomers who want to play roulette without having to worry about getting started, as it’s so easy to do so online.

A Highly Convenient Way of Playing

Online roulette has become massively popular in recent years because of the convenience factor, as anyone can join in with the games at any time and wherever they are. This has allowed far more people to try these games in a way that suits their lifestyle and with little fuss. The chance to change the camera angles or the quality of the video are other factors that have helped more people to enjoy these games.

The fact that live dealer versions of roulette can also be played on mobile devices helps to make it highly accessible. This provides the ideal combination for many people, with the excitement of the live casino setting at their fingertips whenever they want it. There’s no need to worry about issues like opening hours or travel arrangements when all you have to do is simply download the casino app or use your mobile browser.

    The Human Touch

These aren’t the first online roulette games to be made available. In fact, online play has been available since the start of this century, with roulette games played on a virtual table and with a random number generator to ensure an unpredictable outcome on every spin.

Yet, while this approach worked well for many players, others preferred something that retained the human touch. The arrival of live dealer games has provided them with the perfect combination to play exactly how they like. The tension of watching a live human dealer carry out their job of spinning the wheel and then waiting for the ball to come to rest on a number makes this a memorable way of playing at any time.

With live streaming now becoming a hugely popular form of presenting roulette games, we can expect to see even more people enjoy this way of playing and discover a modern way to play roulette that really suits them.
