‘Ayer Cut’ Photo Teases Harley Quinn’s Wedding Dress

Back in 2017, rumors swirled about scenes that were filmed and cut for David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad.” There were stories about additional Joker (Jared Leto) scenes, possible Batman inclusions, and of course- more Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). Most of the rumors have turned out to be true, which is rare. Ayer has repeatedly thanked fans for their very vocal call for his director’s cut of the film to be released.

One of the scenes that was apparently filmed but ultimately cut involved Harley Quinn in a ‘wedding dress.’ This was reported on by several outlets in 2017, owing to unofficial on-set photos that were eventually ordered taken down by the studio. Thanks to a member of “Suicide Squad” costume department Owen Thornton, we know what the dress looked like.

“Harlequin played by the one and only Margot Robbie.
Harley wore her Wedding dress during the Los Angeles pick up shots and it was fun to dust it in the traditional colors of red and blue.
Of course Suicide Squad holds many secrets hidden inside the Ayer cut…..
    This being one of them.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
