We all know that the Chinese government has a strange habit changing things to make authoritarian victories more prevalent in media. This includes Western releases like television shows and movies. The most recent example of this? An edit of David Fincher‘s film “Fight Club.”
In the edit, the very ending of the film has been altered to give the police a victory.
Chuck Palahniuk, author of “Fight Club,” tweeted about it as well.
You can catch “Fight Club” on Amazon Prime. And never forget that cut of the film without Brad Pitt‘s Tyler Durden.
