We are delighted to share the news that three brand new “Star Wars” games are on the way! Lucasfilm Games is teaming up with Electronic Arts. We know one title will be another installment in the Star Wars Jedi franchise. There will also be a strategy game. And, a first-person shooter. All three are currently in development at Respawn Entertainment.

Vice President of Lucasfilm Games Douglas Reilly said of the news: “We are excited to continue working with the superbly talented teams at Respawn. They have demonstrated excellence in telling epic Star Wars stories along with best-in-class gameplay across different genres and we are looking forward to bringing more amazing experiences to the galaxy far, far away.”

“Building on the previous successes of our EA relationship, this new collaboration highlights the trust and mutual respect shared between the world-class teams at EA, Respawn, and Lucasfilm Games,” SVP, Walt Disney Games Sean Shoptaw said. “Fostered by the expertise and passion within each team, we will create thrilling original games for diverse audiences across the Star Wars galaxy.”

“Working with Lucasfilm Games on a new FPS in the Star Wars galaxy is a dream come true for me, as this is a story I have always wanted to tell,” said Peter Hirschmann. Hirschmann previously worked as VP of development at LucasArts, and currently serves as Game Director at Respawn.

“We are huge fans of Star Wars and we are thrilled to work with Lucasfilm Games on new titles that we have wanted to make for years,” said Respawn founder Vince Zampella and Group GM. “If you want to make great Star Wars games, you should come join us on our journey.”

We will let you know what else we hear about these titles.

She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
