Disneyland Announces Grad Nite is Coming Back in 2022

High school graduates, rejoice! Parents, worry! Disneyland California Adventure cast members be prepared, because Disneyland just announced Grad Nite is coming back this year. In an announcement on their official blog, it was revealed that Grad Nite would be back after a two-year hiatus which happened during the shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The trick to this is that we’re not nearing the end of Covid. There’s a new variant, and those that are vaccinated and boosted are still getting sick. Though they are less likely to be hospitalized. Omicron is running rampant, and though many businesses are taking this more seriously, it appears the House of Mouse is prepared to counter concerns.

    Grad Nite 2022 has three tiers, and will run from May 13th, 14th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 25th, 26th, and 31st; June 1st, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, and 17th. The event will be centralized to California Adventure.

We do suppose that those are well outside of the regular park hours, so attendees will likely be the only ones in the park. Not like those nightmarish crowds back in 2018 or 2019 where it was shoulder to shoulder and they had them in the parks during regular hours. Believe me, we went once not knowing it was a Grad Nite and quickly left the park. People were running into strollers not paying attention where they were going.

So we’ll see if they can actually make good on the promise of Grad Nite coming back. And, if California doesn’t put any new mandates in place. But for now I guess, it’s happening.
