Reese’s Giant Holiday Peanut Butter Cup Pie Sells Out

Be still my fat heart! I can feel my arteries clogging up just by looking at this monstrosity of peanut buttery chocolaty goodness. This year, Hershey unveiled their largest Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup ever made. It weighs in at 3.25lbs, and measures 9 inches long. It’s basically a laptop made out of candy.

Oh, and the calories? The box says it’s meant to have 48 slices at 160 calories per slice. For those wanting to know the math, this whopping gargantuan sugar high tops out at 7,680 calories per box. Case in point: wear sweatpants to Thanksgiving this year. You’re gonna need it.

In a press release on Monday, senior Brand Manager Bo Jones said, “When you bring together friends and family for Thanksgiving dinner, no table spread is complete without dessert…At Reese’s, we wanted to create a dessert that everyone wants a piece of.”

The giant Reese’s pie was priced at $44.99, a more than reasonable price for a sure to be star for any Thanksgiving dessert table.

Unfortunately, Hershey only made a limited number of pies. 3,000 were made, and naturally, they sold out in only a few hours. So those of us (like myself) hoping to get our hands on this weeks worth of calories will have to just imagine how good it is. Luckily for fans of the candy, there are countless combinations and creations for Reese’s that can still be enjoyed.

Now that I know that this can and does exist, I will be scouring the interwebs in hopes of snagging a Reese’s Peanut Butter Pie, either this Thanksgiving or future ones.

I must have this in my life, even if it puts me in a food coma for a week. GET IN MY BELLY!
