Star Wars Announces Official Life Day Merchandise Coming

Maybe you’re one of those who roll your eyes anytime someone mentions Life Day. A holiday from the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk, Life Day made it’s first appearance in much-maligned “Star Wars Holiday Special” back in 1978. With Wookiees spread out across the galaxy, it was important for them to remember their forested planet, and celebrate family.

Star Wars is kinda sorta finally giving Life Day the respect it deserves. Not only are there official Life Day treats available at Galaxy’s Edge in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, there’s merch too.

Things like Chewie in his red robe, complete with glowing orb, an orb mug, and an ornament.

Life Day will be celebrated officially on November 17th, 2021.

Let’s not forget that Jon Favreau already has some ideas about doing a new “Star Wars Holiday Special” for Disney+.
