Studio Ghibli Theme Park Reveals Stunning Concept Art

Back in 2019, Studio Ghibli revealed that they would be opening their own theme park in Japan. We’ve been waiting to see what they would do with it, but knowing they always come through with style, we weren’t worried. Studio Ghibli released concept art for their themed areas and attractions. The results are just beautiful!

If you’re a fan of the movie studio, you will be happy to see many familiar places once watched on screen. Their lands include places from “My Neighbor Totoro,” “Kiki’s Delivery Service,” “Princess Mononoke,” “Whisper of the Heart,” and “Spirited Away.”

Here are the images they’ve released so far for the park:

    My Neighbor Totoro area
Kiki’s Delivery Service tea cup ride, Howl’s Moving Castle is also shown in the background
    Princess Mononoke area
Spirited Away buildings and the steps and antique store from Whisper of the Heart

What’s most exciting is the way they seamlessly incorporate all of these together. It really will be like pulling you into the world of Studio Ghibli.

The park is expected to open next year, but no official date has been set. This park is a Japan-only experience, so when you make your trip out that way to visit the local attractions be sure to add this to your list. We recommend watching all of Hayao Miyazaki‘s films before going in order to fully appreciate these beautiful attractions.
