GWAR Partners with Catoctin Creek for Ragnarök Rye Whisky

The Scumdogs of the Universe are branching out! Intergalactic monster rockers GWAR, hot off their first foray into the lucrative CBD field with their ‘Bud of Gods’ line, are now partnering with Virginia based Catoctin Creek Distilling Co. to bring us all their latest assault on humanity, and it sounds pretty great.

GWAR’s whisky, Ragnarök Rye, will be a 92 Proof, 46% ABV rye whiskey, aged in charred new white oak, then sugar maple and cherrywood. Lead vocalist of GWAR, Blothar the Berserker, said of Ragnarök Rye: “If whisky is liquid sunshine, this rye is a scorching alien sun,” and with his trademark wit, assures us that it will be “A delicious sacrament to drink in preparation for battle, and it’ll get you really, really crazy.”

Available starting May 28th, each limited 750ml bottle of Ragnarök Rye will run you a scorching $99, but also comes with an awesome (random) metal bottle topper bearing the ugly mug of one of five of GWARs most famous members: Blóthar the Berserker; Balsac the Jaws of Death; Jizmak da Gusha; Beefcake the Mighty; or Pustulus Maximus.

Ragnarök Rye is available to purchase on Catocin Creek’s own store, for pickup or local delivery in Virginia only. National pre-orders are available through Seelbachs. While currently pre-orders are sold out, more will be coming soon.
