The United States Postal Service will be releasing stamps that feature droids from “Star Wars.” The droids stand in front of memorable places in the franchise such as Cloud City on Bespin.

The pane of 20 stamps will feature 10 droids that represent more than four decades of storytelling: IG-11, R2-D2, K-2SO, D-O, L3-37, BB-8, C-3PO, a GNK (or Gonk) power droid, a 2-1B surgical droid, and C1-10P (commonly known as Chopper).

The stamps were designed by Greg Breeding. William Gicker was the art director for the series.

The stamps mark this year’s 50th anniversary of Lucasfilm. Stamps like these can be highly collectible and are great for decorations. In my house we tend to frame these or use them for birthday cards. What would you do with your set of stamps?
