‘Green Child of Mine’ Guns N’ Roses Cover Proves Baby Yoda Still Reigns

It seems there’s just no stopping the baby Yoda train. Even with a long hiatus, no sooner did “The Mandalorian” return for its second season, then The Child retook the internet. From memes to musicals and everything in-between, there is no shortage of inventive ways to keep The Child in our every day lives.

The Merkins have covered the Guns N’ Roses classic “Sweet Child O’ Mine” with a baby Yoda twist called “Green Child O’ Mine.” And yes, it’s everything we need right now.

Sporting Mandalorian head gear and calling themselves Guns’N’Helmets, the “Green Child O’ Mine” parody is almost a shot for shot recreating of the original music video. Down to the black and white camera and full of adorable baby Yoda moments, this is classic parody done right. The lyrics are well done too, beginning with: “I got a child floating next to me, deprived of a childhood from enemies, when everyone wants his flesh and night black eyes!”

Needless to say, if you’re a fan of the original (why wouldn’t you be) and need more baby Yoda in your life, “Green Child O’ Mine” is truly the song parody you need. Be sure you check out The Merkins YouTube channel, as it’s packed with a number of other great parodies you might enjoy, including “Pinhead- Man in the Box” Alice in Chains cover. You won’t be disappointed. This is the way.
