Del Taco is great but you know what would make it even better? Crispy chicken! They’ve revealed that this week they will be debuting some new menu items that incorporate the crispy chicken and we can expect to start eating them July 30th!
They will be releasing three menu items.
$1 Crispy Chicken Taco – A crispy-fried chicken strip, grated cheddar cheese, lettuce, and a drizzle of creamy ranch sauce or creamy habanero sauce served in a warm flour tortilla. This one is great because if you order it plain for the kids, it’s basically popcorn chicken.
$5 Epic Crispy Chicken & Guac Burrito – Crispy-fried chicken strips, fresh romaine and iceberg lettuce blend, guacamole, diced tomatoes, tortilla strips, and creamy avocado Caesar dressing wrapped in a warm, over-sized flour tortilla. Time to get our guac on!
$4 Crispy Chicken & Fries Box – 3 pieces of crispy-fried chicken strips served over crinkle-cut fries. They come with a choice of dipping sauce (creamy habanero, ranch, chipotle, or Caesar). Another great option for the kids who haven’t quite developed their taste for Del Taco. Now they can get their chicken nugget fix while you get your delicious dinner!
If these do well it may be only a matter of time until we get more chicken crispy items. Hopefully they will keep expanding their menu as we already know that Taco Bell is cutting back. How can they hurt us and take away our potato burritos? Why Taco Bell Why??
