Sega is Releasing Game Gear Micro Editions

After the success of mini consoles it would make sense to continue the trend, and it looks like the next one up is Sega’s Game Gear. But what do you do when a console is already a smaller size? You make it micro!

They will be releasing it in four colors and four games each. Black will have Sonic the Hedgehog, Puyo Puyo 2, Out Run and Royal Stone. Blue will have Sonic and Tails, Gunstar Heroes, Sylvan Tale, and Baku Baku Animaru. Yellow will have Shining Force Gaiden, Shining Force Gaiden 2, Shining Force Gaiden Final Conflict, and Nazupuro Arurunoru. Red will have Last Bible, Last Bible Special, The GG Shinobi, and Columns.

Funnily enough they will also have an attachment that will make the window bigger for you to see. Which makes you wonder why not just release Game Gear in the regular size. But hey, it’s novelty and I’m still probably going to pick up the ones with Sonic.

They will be released on October 6th 2020, which is the console’s 30th Anniversary.
