If you love gardening but you also like things to be spooky we’ve found the perfect thing for you. Hanna Pilve an artist from Rovaniemi, Finland is creating these garden sculptures and we wonder why we haven’t seen them before. To be honest they are just the kind of thing that you would want in garden decor, especially if you like to keep things decorated for Halloween all year round.

Can you imagine having something like that crawling out of your garden well? It reminds me of the scene from The Ring where Samara climbs up and out of the well. And it is definitely something I would want in my garden. If anything it would keep the midnight burglars away, just shine a light up on that and they’d be running out of there.

She also has other designs that you can look at. There are some ghosts in boats that have guiding lights which are similar to the Greek mythology of crossing the river Styx. When souls enter the territory of Hades, they must pay Charon, the ferryman, a fee in order to cross the Styx.

And if you want something more current there is a new line of Covid-19 statues that she has built. It’s a little dark but definitely expresses the mood circulating right now.

If you would like to commission her for a sculpture of your own you can do so by messaging her on Instagram or Facebook. This is definitely one artist we’re following closely so keep an eye out for more amazing stuff.
