I Tried Making The Dalgona Coffee

It’s all over Instagram, TIKTOK, and Facebook; Dalgona coffee. But what s it exactly? I did a quick Google search and this is what came up on the results. The drink itself has origins from India, Pakistan, and Macau, where it is also known as whipped coffee or beaten coffee. Cool you learn something new everyday. so I wanted to see if I can actually recreate this coffee drink that’s going around the internet right now. Apparently all you need is three simple ingredients minus the hot water.

    1. sugar
    2. Instant coffee (your choice)
    3. Milk (any kind)
    AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!

Basically everything is equal parts. For those of you that don’t know what that means it’s this. If you use 3 tablespoons of sugar, use 3 tablespoons for the rest. And since I have my husband here I’m gonna use 4.

    dry ingredients measured out
    after hot water is added

Now I have been reading you whip for 7 minutes, or until you get soft peaks (roughly 5 minutes) let’s see I’ll go for soft peaks.

well coffee has lightened a bit
    and done!
but which one to use. . . .
    husband gets the clear glass.

After my first sip the coffee is really powerful, so I mixed it a bit with the almond milk and I’m not mad at this! It was easy enough to make and aesthetically pleasing. Give it a try!
