Xbox Begins Testing Project X Cloud For Iphones

I’ve got some good news and bad news for you gamers out there. The good news is we are getting closer and closer to playing Xbox games literally anywhere we are. The bad news is that if you wanted to be apart of the test group it’s already hit its limit.

For those who are unaware of what Project X Cloud is. It allows you to stream your xbox video games from your phone and or tablet. Think of it as something very similar to what Google Stadia is. All you need is a compatible phone and a Bluetooth Xbox controller.

It is important to note that Project X Cloud has been available to android some time now. But this is the first time it’s being rolled out to IOS. As of right now all you can play on the Iphone is Halo The Master Chief Collection. And they only made 10,000 slots available for testers.

As we get further and further with this technology it’s going to be interesting to see if this gets picked up on a massive level. Because this is something Stadia has tried to do but had a hard time getting it off the ground. Who knows maybe microsoft waited to see what would go wrong with google and perfect there’s even more. But the idea of playing Halo on my phone while at work sure does bring a smile to my face.
